What To Check On 2010 Ram 3500 Exiting MOPAR Warranty?

Hello,

I have a 2010 Ram 3500 Crew Cab Laramie Long Bed 6.7L Diesel that is coming up on 180,000 miles. I have an extended MOPAR warranty which will be running out at 181,000 and don't believe I will be able to get a new warranty due to the mileage. While this has been a pretty solid truck, I have had a number of issues as it has aged so am a little concerned about running into a major, very expensive, issue shortly after the warranty expires. I am hoping folks here can offer suggestions of things I should be sure to check before the expiration so I can be moderately comfortable this truck will keep working for at least a little longer. If you need any additional info from me do not hesitate to let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Call and see if you can get the extended warranty. If not, you can buy supplemental repair coverage from another source.

I appreciate the thought and I am looking to see if I can get an extended MOPAR warranty. I really wish I had know about the lifetime MOPAR warranty when I bought the truck as I would definitely have bought it. When I bought this warranty at 100,000 it was tough to find anyone willing to sell me a warranty - at least one without some really heavy restrictions and/or extremely expensive. Due to this I am doubtful I can find a warranty for a truck getting close to 200K.

I know there are often things not obvious until you look close or open some parts up and am hopeful I can give a little direction to look at these. Even if I get a new warranty, it would be to my advantage to be aware of any upcoming likely issues.

Well, Good Luck with it. If you don't find one, best advice I can say is put the Vehicle payment in a account with your bank and use that card only for your automobile repairs. :)
