1984 360 ci b250 loses power on the highway
 

First post, sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I have a 1984 dodge b250 camper van and while driving on the highway today around ~100kmh power cut out, it felt as if i let off the throttle but a little faster deceleration with a slight vibration. I messed with the throttle for a second and normal responsiveness returned. A few minutes later i noticed the same thing happen as i let off the throttle as i was approaching a turn in the highway. This time messing with the throttle didnt work instantly so i let off for a second and started smelling gas, so i pulled over briefly to see how it idled. Just like normal. I took off again as normal and it accelerated normally until about 70kmh, where it still accelerated but slowly and with some vibrations again. I looked at the carb and it looks pretty clean from the outside and i also ensured all plugs/wires/distributor connections were secure. No signs of any loose hoses or air leaks. Idles and slow speed driving seems to be good although i did notice a while ago theres a slight stutter just as i start pressing the throttle when the engine is cold. Im hoping its not my fuel pump but it only seems to do it at highway speeds. Sorta new to this whole carburator thing so any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Check your fuel filter first then do a flow test of the pump.

I replaced a fuel filter in the engine bay about 2 months ago, so ill do a pump test and see what happens. Thanks!

With the older stuff you might want to look at that filter also rust and other junk comes up from the tank like you would not believe.

You make a good point, ill check it out too anyways its pretty easy to reach
