318 Rods

Friend of mine cracked his block, so I helped tear down his block to the bare block to see if anything else went bad.

Decided to take the pistons off the rods at my shop class, and junk the pistons.

I'm considering having a shop just crack check and measure the con. rod bores for roundness.

These came off a '99 dodge ram 1500 LA block.

Would they be worth checking out and possibly reconditioning and trying to re-sell? I would also be doing ARP rod bolts if I commit.

NOT worth the effort

After seeing the prices for new 318 rods I would be trying to re-sell at the price they charge for brand new, already balanced.

Guess I'll just use them for balancing practice on a grinder belt and just keep one for a standard if I get snap gauges.

These are the things you might want to keep if you stick to small blocks, when you need one or a set it's nice to know you just have to go down to the basement.
