360 cam

hey, ive got a LA 360. 0.030 over, forged flat top pistons, decked block and head.~10:1 cr. j heads on it right now, they have 2.08 intake and 1.62 exhaust heads are heavy but flow 270 ish cfm at 600 lift i believe. forged rods but stock crank. arp bolts all around. it currently has a dual plane intake, but i have a m1 single plane for it. im buying a set of flowtech shorty headers, 1 1/2 inch runners, but im cutting the 2 1/2 inch collector off and running a 3 inch collector. ( im running a 90 dakota so im pretty limited for header space) i was wondering if anyone had good cam specs for this combination. my current cam is only around 450 lift with only a few degrees of overlap. im making 445 hp and 470 tq. id like to make over 500 hp without losing all my torque. i was thinking around 570 ish lift with around 230 dur at 0.050 if anyone had any suggestions or experience it would be appreciated.

also, it is a a500 trans (built) with a 3500 stall tq converter, 355 rear gears. im running a 26 inch tall slick also. so it wouldnt take long to get into a higher rpm to make power

242 / 248 .58 on both the intake and exhaust. LSA 110 install it at 106. Engine dyno has you at 491 but i had to use large tube headers to get you there.

Let us know if you hit the mark. When you flowed the heads with a 2.08 valve was there any turbulence over .55?

To be honest i didnt do any of the real engine building, i had the machine work done. i just put it together. as far as turbulence goes im not sure. the runners are a real straight shot, a lot of machining was done on them. i remember the best flow being around .5 to .6 and then it seemed peter off. they were originally made for my dads 68' dart. he was racing in stock appearing class or something like that if you were wondering why so much was spend on boat anchors vs buying a set of al heads.
