360 SB mopar distributor for MSD wires
 

I changed my new HEI type distributor for my old and tired stock mopar one and my 74 Fury now runs a lot better, but, this distributor has the vacuum advance broken, has never been rebuild and I want to use the MSD wires I bought for the HEI type distributor.

I checked on Rockauto but looks like the mopar distributors they sell only have female type cap and the MSD wired needs male type cap


What should I do? I want to run my MSD wires and a high voltage coil

I've been useing MSD for over 25 years, so red or black? What was the question?

Is there a way to use my HEI type MSD wires on a Mopar type distributor cap? or would be a better idea to change wires or distributor ?

I'm not a fan of oem distributors for performance applications.

I'd suspect that cap is made for a big block dist, or the cap from a big block dist is the same of a small block?

Try this. They should have what you need.

Big/ small block use same cap and rotor. Of course they must be same "series" ie the old Prestolite dual point use a different cap and rotor than do the single point aluminum and the electronic breakerless dist.

I may be wrong about what you're asking, but most universal wire sets have both types of cap boots. Or you could just buy an after market set of boots and use them on your new cap.
