383 carb/intake
69 383 RR all stock 4spd
Need replace carb-thinking Holley 4150 650cfm DP with the Mopar Dual Plane Aluminum
Is the Edelbrock Performer RPM and 650 a better combo?
Interested in good idle to speed response. Might change to 351:1 -
if I change to 351 gear do you think 750 would be better/

I would use a 750 with vacuum secondaries for the street. You can get them for a reasonable price. I would add the quick change spring kit before it goes on. A stock motor will make good vacuum and I think you will like the results.
I love the DP version but I have always had much better manners and consistent response with the vacuum secondaries on a street application.

I have a Edelbrock 600 and dualplane intake on my 400 lean burn motor and I find that the Edelbrock is a lot easier to tune for the street, But a Holley is the way to go if you want performance and race,

Holley is a garbage product ever since the CEO took over. Edelbrock same boat, and demon is junk as well. The big three have been taken over by business men who don't care for quality. If you want a good carb go with quick fuel. Holley guys who were skidded started quick fuel up. You can use one of the big three, but they seem to be finicky. If you do go with the big 3, try to find an older unit.
