Header bolts coming loose.
Need some suggestions bolt type , locking or not. Ceramic pro comp ,hooker headers. Maybe gasket type that works best. They really got loose in just a few runs. Pro maxx 440 aluminum heads. These are new to me and looking for the right combination. |

Great stuff these guys have and spec.. http://www.lawsonproducts.com/Lock-W...s/FS120060.lpc But might be to tight for those headers????????? |
My son just bought one of these type based on our Speed Shop supply guy giving up on the others and positive feed back from his customers.

of course we all know to NOT use cad plated bolts on the exhaust system. and DO use anti-seize compound on ext system and all other bolts on the bottom of the truck.

header bolts
I installed the ss arp we had used before but with Mr gasket lock washers .
Regular felpro gaskets that matches the old ones. Just going to watch close. Also used high heat antiseze. Thanks If I still experience the bolts coming loose we will look at the locking bolts again. |
