440 stainless exhaust studs?
Hi all,
My first post here! I have a '72 Jensen Interceptor that I'm doing some work on at the moment. The question I hope you guys can help with is where I can get a set of stainless exhaust studs for the motor, which is a Chrysler 440 big block. ARP don't seem to list them specifically but I thought you might know if any of the studs ARP make for other cars might be suitable? I'm in the UK so ordering from Summit on the off chance is not really an option! Already ordered a load of bolts and the won't fit with the headers I have, aargh!

At any rate... Take a look into the Marine side of the industry....See if these are long enough for your need.

I'm using a header, of the 'block hugger type' like this:
From the layout you'll see why I can't get bolts into the flange holes by the outer pipes! The studs I have are the original ones, used with the factory iron manifolds. FYI. the new headers flange thickness is 1/4".

Question 1972 Charger
Hi, I have an electrical problem with my 1972 Dodge Charger.
The problem is I have no power on my fan switch. The car has air conditioning also. So it's a 4 prong connection at the fan switch. The wires are two tans, a light green and a dark green. I am getting power out of the fuse block, which is a black wire with a white stripe, 16 gage wire. Followed the black and white stripe wire into the dash. Can anyone tell me where that wire goes? Any ideas of why I am not getting any power at the fan switch?

Update on the stud saga....
Hi Bob,
I gave some dud info before re. The headers, the flange is of course not a 1/4” but 3/8”! Anyway the original studs are 1 3/4” OAL being 1/2” of coarse and 1” of fine.
I think I’m going to try a set of ARP 420-1401 studs that are a wee bit shorter at 1.670 OAL but have the same amount of coarse thread.
