512 stroker push rods

using 440 source roller rockers with comp cam, flat tappet hydraulic lifters. now going through the process of measuring for correct pushrod length. would like to know if my method of doing this will get me the right length. turn motor to top dead center on no 1 cylinder using an adjustable push rod turned it out to zero lash also had adjusting screw turned down to where the threads were flush with bottom of rocker arm as 440 source says at final adjustment no more that two threads should be showing out from bottom of rocker. also will a tape measure be accurate enough to measure the length or do I need to get it precisely measured at machine shop? thanks

I use EOIC and to make sure you are on base circle of the cam. And do one exhaust and one intake. Measure twice.. cut once

Tape the PR so it doesn't move and take to shop if you don't have calipers long enough to do it.

Sounds like a sweet build. Keep us posted.

NO A tape measure is not accurate enough to measure push rod length. go buy a caliper or rent one.
