67 fury 3 hearing "shhhh sound from the passenger side"
 
Hello, I just bought a 67 fury 3 w 383 engine. I recently noticed i heard "shhhhh" pressure leaking sound from the passenger or the middle part of the dashboard and i have no idea why its making sound. This is my 1st muscle car and i been spending a lot money on it so far.....Plz guys I dont wanna throw tat away.

Does it / did it have air conditioning? Vacuum controlled heater/ AC

i would still look for vac leaks it may have vac diaphrams for switching from teh fllor vents to the defroster vents.

In a short answer yes, it may not run correctly if its a very big vacuum leak but it will be drivable.... I would say its a vacuum line that does control the doors for the heating system that changes from floor heat to defrost to the vents... Or the diaphram valve for that function itself

According to my 67 (Dodge) manual, heater, (not AC), has MECHANICAL controls, not vacuum

Yes u're right it's still drivable but i have to wait till i put new camshaft do u guys have any idea?? I researched it O'reilly sell the same brand for 260 and rockauto got 354. I wonder will it make any difference? and i search it on autozone...they 354..Any suggestion?
