Hello I am new to the forum and love it.
I am restoring a 73 d200 club cab with a 440 auto
This truck came from the dealer with 3 gas tanks, 1 main and 2 aux. The question is on the main tank, it fills thru the caboose down to the bottom of the cab and out under the frame rail to a frame mounted tank that fills from the bottom. I ws told by an engineer that this year was caught between transitionioning from filling at the cab to bed and they only did this for 2 years. The issue is that the Gromit going into the tank leaks, I have a replacement but can't find the metal ring. Has anyone dealt with this tank? and are there conversions to a regular top fill?
