Chrysler Cordoba 360 floor Jets
Will my Chrysler pass smog with plugged floor Jets. The previous owner removed them and plugged the holes. The rest of my smog equipment is all in place and functional.

In NY, cars over 25 model years old do not need or get an emission inspection. Safety only. Don't know what the deal is in your state. Archer |
Only one way to find out... Go have it pre-tested...

Floor jets?

Floor Jets are located on the inside of the intake manifold directly below the carb, part of the EGR system.
I'm located in California! We smog check every two years, 1975 and older. I'll just have it pretested. |
I've never herd it called that but knew what it was for.

I never really noticed the things until now and I've owned 19 Cordobas lol. It wasn't until the recent '78 I purchased and the seller told me he plugged them off. I researched them and discoverd that's what they are called? I'll have to go to a wrecking yard and pull them off a 318 or 360.

Fill the tank with Mobil Mid grade.. Run half the tank out and then have it tested... I dont know whats in the Techron, I have no idea. But the local smog guys like us to run it before testing... I think it's B.S. but what ever floats there boat and get them to pass... :)
Only reason I say try it... My 77 360 dose not have them and it passes.... |
Will do! Thanks
