My `73 Town & Country 440 exhaust has split at the junction of the "Y" pipe and it only has a single exhaust..( See photo from evilbay ..It run across under the sump....)
This seems like a good time to go to a duel exhaust !...
To start i need to find a set of down/head pipes for a duel exhaust C-Bodied car to build on .
.Ive spent hours searching, the interweb with no luck..Being in the UK makes it expensive...But its gotta be done !
Sadly, in the UK we dont have them....Only " Classic car spacialists" ..Today I took the car to my local " specialist" and had a quote for just a basic system 2 pipe, exiting in front of back axle, ( Copying this design ) with ME supplying the mufflers...$1000....
Thanks for the reply..Sadly, in the UK, we dont have exhaust shops...only " Classic car specialist`s " Which instantly means HUGE costs..
I had a quote for a basic duel pipe system, exiting in front of the rear axle, similar to the system in thje photo ,found on the interweb..( the cheapest option..) With ME supplying the mufflers....$1000 !>>>>If I can find a C-Body car that has same floor pan, I thought I could order down/head pipes to bolt to the standard manifolds and make a system up from that..I dont have a garage..UK garages are way to small , and I dont weld...Hoping to "bolt/clamp" a made up system so I can take it to get welded by a friend......Thanks again.
