Exhaust black smoke/soot

Real simple, im confused yet again. Started up my fifth ave today hopeing things where okay. It started right up and was running fairly smooth. I tapped the throttle to listen for knocking and such, and noticed yet again an over abundance of black smoke/soot on the snow behind the car.
on top of that, when i tapped the accelerator, this v8 sounded like a 4 banger.
any ideas?

well problems solved, the black crap is condensation and old exhaust pipe crude spitting out and the sound is coming from a driver side exhaust leak.

its Carbureted. Thus was solved an hour after posted but i dont see my edit. It was actually due to condensation and soot from the factory exhaust pipes. And the sound was simply due to a exhaust gasket failure near the driver side manifold.
