high oil pressure
 

hey guys,just noticed my oil pressure at 75 while at hiway speed.drops to 25 at idle.its a 512 stroker motor.is thi normal?
if not what do you think the problem could be other than the gauge?

What pump do you have? And what is your idle speed?

75psi is ok running down the road.... 25PSI at Idle is a little low for my liking. I like to see them at about 30PSI at idle. However, it's not horrible if that's what your asking....

Mine runs 30 - 35 at idle.

1 QUESTION.... How many quarts oil pan is on the engine?

it has a 7 qt.pan and on a closer look oil pressure at idle is around 30.thanks for your help
