If rebuilding a 440 what parts would you want?

If you were rebuilding a great 440 what parts would you make sure and use for the crankshaft, pistons, rods, heads and intake?
Not looking for 600+ hp just a great build that will outlast me. For my Trail duster want great low end torque and 400-450 hp with reliability. I am wondering if there is a big difference in Indy, Trickflow and Edelbrock aluminum heads? Should I just have someone work over the stock heads? Just looking for opinions to consider. Just asking about parts I know a great builder/machine shop is most important.
Thanks all Merry Christmas. PG

Not sure on the gears I dont know if there was a standard for 78 with a 440 a Sport addition.
It has 35's on it now.

Thanks PG

What you want can be achieved with iron heads and stock components with step pistons for quench. An internet search will probably find many builds like this.

I know but I am here for the expert opinions and I am a notorious over doer !
I know a buddy built up his Bronco (for his wife I guess) with too much HP its really not drivable.

Your not after hp but torque, I truly like the 4.15 stroke crank combinations outhere. 500 ft lds of torque by 2200 rpm or so maybe more with good heads.

This is a nice safe Iron headed build that wont break the bank.. I did a build very close to this for a buddy with a power wagon and he is still driving it today. This was basically the same build, but we went with a duel plane manifold and a Holley 770
