Hi everybody, new member here.I'm in my late 60's and if I don't get my old Dodge up and running soon.....well anyway my wife and I have always loved older cars and this 63 is our chance to have a Saturday nite cruiser to drive down Central. It's a 63 Dodge 880 custom that I've had for many years. I have a problem identifying what V8 engine I have. I am the second owner and the original owner told me it is a 383 but I'm not so sure. I've scraped all around the distributor, flat plate along the front , etc. but can't find anything. I know that most stuff for the 361 will fit the 383 so it won't be that much of a problem but I just have to know which one it is,I think most people would want to know that.I am so glad to be a member of Mopar Forums and I hope someone can help me. Hope to share pics. of my 63 if I could ever figure out how to use these new fancy computer things out :-).I drive a 02 Dodge 1500 Ram sport every day and the wife drives a 06 Dodge Dakota all tricked out.Anyway thanks for taking time to read this mess and I'm just glad to be part of this forum.
