Something missing on 383 in a Fury III?

Hi, looking to perhaps buy a Fury III and the car has a (so the advert says) rebuilt 383 engine - but I noticed in the photos something seems to be missing (attached photos, left side rocker cover). Is the exposed tube supposed to have a breather cap? Should I be worried / what should I check for? I'm going to see it in person tomorrow, the video I've seen so far showed it had a smooth idle and revved freely.

My only experience with old engines was a 455 in my 71 Trans Am years ago, and loads of 4 cylinder Fords.

While not stock, the set up is correct and fully functional (providing all the components are working).

The PCV is in the driver's side VC and draw vacuum from the carb in your case (or optionally the manifold). The breather element you mentioned just lets air in on the passenger's side VC. The spout is optional and for appearances could be replaced with a breather without the spout. (On a more stock system, the spout would connect with a hose to a port under the air clearer.)

Thanks! I saw the car today, not quite as good as described but aside from a patch behind the driver side rear wheel the body seems really solid. It's had a respray but not a bare metal one.

One thing that I'm a little concerned about though is the engine was vibrating - felt like a lump once per revolution just above low idle - shook the car. This seemed to last for 5 minutes or so at then it smoothed out, kind of surprised that a rebuilt motor would do this. Started immediately, seriously turn the key and a second later it was running.

Could be a misfire, bad plug, wire, etc. Hard to tell from here.
Looks like a points ignition.
That would be first on my upgrade list (Upgrading to a Mopar electronic box and dist, new wires, plugs, etc.)
