Starter Screw-up

Hey guys,

Well, my dad blew the starter on our 69' charger.

He was wondering what would be a good replacement.

The car has a 440 with 13.5:1 compression, so I'm assuming a stock OEM isn't going to work.

What would you guys recommend?

All input and experience is greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Look for a new style mini starter. I don't know if it would work ?? Could you wire an ign delay so the motor could star spinning before the ign is turned on ?? That PowerMaster looks good !!!! Summit has a HD version http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-820337/overview/

Powermaster! On my '73 Cuda/440 I can even remove it and install it without taking the headers off!

CSI, I've been running one on my 500" 11.5:1 street motor with no problems for 12 years. Spins the engine over like the spark plugs are out.
