1966 727 torqueflite push button swap

I didn't do my research when I bought this 1966 727 torqueflite, I recently blew up the 727 in my 1971 Charger, I bought this freshly rebuilt 727 online after swapping a few messages I trusted I knew what I was getting, I had someone pick it up for only to realize that it when I recieved it, it was a push button style 727, I'm wondering if I can swap the internals from the rebuilt push button into my 1971 737 case and if so what will I need to know?

I'm thinking that you can swap the valve body from the 73 on to the 66 but I can't remember if the 66 takes the same converter. So it might be that the front pump needs to be changed also, not knowing what condition these parts are in is a problem.

The pump in the 71 is good it just got hot and ruined the clutch packs from what I seen, I have 2 donor 727 out of that and the rebuilt push button I should have enough parts if it all swaps over

Ahh ok, I understand that, why don't you think the pump on the push button transmission would work? Isn't all the shifting controlled by the valve body or do you think the pumps may not be interchangeable to the different valve bodies?
