I just removed my center section to install new gears. My cross shaft is all messed up. And I can move it back and forth easily. Can I just purchase a new one?

Looks to me like you may need a new gear carrier. Hole is damaged

I am no expert on that but I would take it to a good drive line shop and let them determine if it can be fixed.

I just dropped it off to a local speed shop. I will know tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully it can be saved...
