Conversion U-joint between driveshaft and differential?

Hi guys,

I have 1973 Charger and want to change U joints but can't determine which one is between differential and driveshaft. The one between driveshaft and transmission is NEAPCO 2-3050 (7290 Detroit/Spicer 1330)

http://www.thirskauto.com/vehicle-re...ea_2-3050.html

The other, between differential and driveshaft, is mystery to me :) Here you can see u-joint dimensions.

Cap diameters are 1.078" and 1.063", and I found these:

Problem is that other dimensions don't fit, I mean on u-joint width/height.

My old u-joint is 2.44" x 3.15"
First one from Summit is 1.125" x 3.622"
Second from Summit is 1.125" x 3.218"

So, what do you think, what u-joint I have :)

What sort of rear axle? "All Mopar?" Or adapted that might be out of Ford, etc? like a Spicr, etc?

There was one odd joint about 66? or so in the spicer rear ends

That size sounds like it might have been upgraded.... I Dont have time at the moment to look for the cross reference for you. But check Precision u joint spec and or the Dana/Spicer spec catalog....

:)

My first guess was 7260/1310.

Is the 3.15" measurement inside between the clips?

Look up Neapco Catalog pdf, and you'll find all dimensions, I had a quick look and couldn't find 3.15".

Yes, 3.15" is between the clips and I couldn't find any u joint with that width.

I solved the problem and it was my mistake while I measured the joint, it is DETROIT 7260 - SPICER 1310 :)

Thanks guys.
