neutral safety/ reverse switch

Dose any one know if a three prong neutral safety /reverse switch is the same size or can replace a single prong neutral safety switch in a 727 torqueflite?

Can a 69 wiper be put on a 68 detent leaver to make the 3 prong switch work properly for reverse lights??

Will it fit in the case. Yes. Will it work? No. The shifter arm on the valve body is slightly different and wont touch the switch.

I've been told that the 3 terminal switch will replace the 1 terminal switch for NSS, but will not work for reverse lights. Have not actually done this.

The single terminal NSS went bad on the 727 in my '68 Charger and I swapped it with a 3 terminal, worked just fine. The 68 backup light switch is mounted to the column- mine had a column shift, I'm not sure about the '69. If I remember right you use the center terminal on the 3 prong.
