Reverse Manual Valve Body for 904 Street Use?
I just bought a reverse manual valve body for a 904. it says to not use it for street use but that was my intention. i spent the money and don't wanna just waste it. what should i do buy a different one or go ahead and use it anyway. my assumption is they put that on the box so they cant get sued if something happens. any advice? thank you.

I'll assume that it free wheels on coast in first, that is you move forward let up and hit the gas you blow the spag to he'll and back in the trans.. So you can't coast in first, second yes not first. If you can do that without fail you could drive it, I've driven my 727 many miles without problems.

V -
I've used a reverse manual VB on my "worked" 727 since the 80's. It's about as quick as you're going to get from a 727 on the strip, but possibly not the most fun on the street. (I like it, but I'm a Mopar guy ...) The shifts are firm (remember what I said about a "worked" 727) and you really shouldn't down shift while in motion (you should be at a stop or slow roll), due to the pressure systems. So I would make sure your tranny is up to it and YOU have to be aware of the no down shift thingy. If you're cool with that, you're good to go. Archer |
