TF727 How to adjust the kickdown linkage?

Hi I want to know how can I adjust the kickdown linkage on my Torqueflite 727 because when I get the throttle to the floor I can hear the carburetor secondaries opened and the transmission downshifts one time but I don't notice a big difference in the car acceleration so I think if I properly adjust the kickdown linkage the transmission will downshift two times and will be a difference in car acceleration

What engine is in it? If a small block then it's adjusted correctly. If a big block then something else like spark timing or carb tune needs to be adjusted. None of them will down shift 2 times unless you are almost stopped. 5 mph or 10 maybe.

My car has a small block 360. A few moments ago I try again on the highway and the transmission downshift one time but the response was a lot better.

Why the transmission doesnt downshift two times even goig at 25mph? If I want this kind of downshift must i shift it manually?

You need to read the transmission diagnostics section in the shop manual In my '74 manual there's a chart on page 21-71 that shows approx shift up and shift down speeds. 1st gear downshift varies with engine, rear axle and body style, the chart shows all the way from 25 to 38 mph for a 3 to 1 downshift, depending

In addition, the throttle (kickdown) adjustment is in there as well.

Also, there is some service bulletins, both .pdf and video over at MyMopar that might be helpful............

It appears to be. There were serious wiring changes in the car and in the diagrams in 74. Once you learn how to use the diagrams, it will be easier in some ways.
