Torqueflite 999

PK4431427, according to my Chrysler Torqueflite book, this is a 999 with electric lockup. Is it considered a 32RH? 31RH? Mopars identification system for these transmission is confusing to say the least.

I am finding conflicting information. Some people are saying the lockup is electric (controlled by the computer) others are saying its hydraulic. I know its 100% a lockup trans because the input shaft is not fully splined. The transmission is in my 88 D150 that I converted from TBI to carburetor. The computer is totally removed.

The engine is out, and I want to put a higher stall converter for it. 2-2.5 stall. Does anybody make them for these transmissions? Is it possible to just use a non lockup converter for a 904 and be gone with the lockup?

The splines are different between a lockup and non-lockup.
