transmission painted?
 

from factory,did 1970 challengers transmission (4speed, automatic, whatever etc.) painted?? and if so what was the color.

ALL chrysler autos i have seen are NOT painted. not even the old cast iron 2 speeds, or the first torque-flite 3 speed, 1957. dont know about stick shifts.

Most Manf. Dont cover the trans, They find it dissipates heat better not covered with just air passing over it to cool it.

Paint won't hurt it. I have seen others do it but not the factory.
