What's This 3-Prong Wire Connector,....

Hey guys! Was under the Dodge truck, it's a 1971 W200 Sweptside. Has the 318 engine, and I reckon I have a 727 transmission. Found a wire dangling under there. It has 3 female ends, and I noted on the driver's side of the transmission there is 3 male ends off of what looks like some sort of solenoid? Can anyone tell me what it is that I plugged this female wire connector into? I have not yet driven the truck to find out whether the connection makes a difference in I don't know what, lol!!!

One more question, are those Haynes do it yourself repair manuals worth buying? I got to have something in paper to guide and learn from. Glad I have you folks! Thanks!

Those Haynes manuals are helpful and not too expensive. I found the wiring diagrams most helpful.
