1966 charger body on new challenger frame?

So I have this 1966 charger and I want to swap out the engine (a 318 now) to a new 6.1 hemi. But I got to thinking what if I could find a newer salvaged Challenger/ Charger (which ever one would fit) and throw the 66 body on it. That way I have the old classic styling with the newer and better everything else. Now I'm not worried about money or time and I'm sure some of you guys may not agree with this and say keep it more old school but I want to know if this is possible or if I'm just out to lunch?
Thanks

They're both unibody designs so it's going to be challenging. I'm curious of the dementional differences.

It's not for the faint of heart. IT requires LOTS of custom work. There is a post here where someone is doing just what you are thinking
