I have 1970
dodge dart

and when im going on the freeway and go over any kind of hump I start swaying and swerving side to side.

im not sure if its alignment.

please help!

currently working on a slant six to 360 swap.

 

Bad shocks, alignment, worn out suspension parts, loose sub frame . Has the front end ever been rebuilt ??

it does have front disk brakes tho

it has wheel locks on them so i haven't gotten to breaking those free yet.

 

Sounds like bump steer to me, but could be as simple as tire pressure. This is where I would start. Could also be the rear spring shackles, are they stock or extended? Are the bolts tight?

 

They make a special socket to remove broken wheel locks. Take it to a tire shop& pay them a few $$
