Hi.

My hub nut left back on my Dodge 1961 has threads damaged. I was just wondering if anyone knows if it's UNC or UNF threads? It is so damaged that you can not see the threads. Luck was that the shaft is still intact, so I just need to get a new nut.

No idea----but can't you remove the nut on the other side and measure the thread?

 

It was unf.. Took the nut to a company that had a lot of different type nuts, bolts, etc. Inches, millimeters, UNF, UNC, etc.

They had no slot nut, but they had one in the same thread, so I took the grinder and turned it into a slot nut.
