Question Replace metal brake lines, or not?

I'm planning on going thru the drum brake system on my 71 e-body and replacing the master cyl, rebuild or replace the wheel cyls, replace the rubber lines, and clean out all old fluid. On an all original southern car that has always been road-worthy, what is the likelihood that the steel lines need to be replaced due to inside corrosion, etc? No issues on the outside of the lines.

Opinions welcome

If the outside of the lines are rust free I would flush the fluid and leave it alone...Like you said I would replace all the flex hoses and call it a day...Bill

I'd save the hassle and let em be if they look good, but that's because finding the right lines and all that can be a real pain.

So would you replace the lines or not??? That is what he is asking...There is no visual rust on the outside of the lines and he was asking should he replace them...We know you can buy new lines all bent and they are available in steel or stainless steel... A penny for your thoughts or not...

If you need them get some at inline tubes and pick the stainless ones.
