1986 Dodge D100 Wire bad?
Hi, i am new to working on vehicles and am trying to learn on this old dodge i have. My fuse box was hanging from doing some stuff and i while driving put it back up under the dash. Something blew and immediatly i lost the ability to give the truck gas. Now it will not start but the lights come on etc. It turns but i think the fuel pump?? is not working. I looked at all the fuses but the clear ones are fine and then i looked at the back of the box and saw the wire connecting to the radio/turn signals/brakes was a little black. I followed it but couldn't find it, the wires are pretty dirty and it was at 2 AM. i am wondering what could possibly be going on and would love to hear any advice.

I don't understand "you can't give it gas?"
Has someone added an electric fuel pump? Have you tried squirting a little fuel down the carb throat?
Does it crank on the starter? Does it generate spark?
NONE of the starting circuit goes through the fuse box The only "fuse" in the starting circuit is the "fuse link" out in the engine bay where the main feed comes from the battery and feeds through the bulkhead / firewall connector
So if it cranks "on the key" that much is working, and the key supplies power to the ignition circuit directly, no fuses.
