Hazard Lights Question 66 Polara

Hi there, here's a newbie question.
Is there hazard lights on my 66 Dodge Polara???:o

No hazard lights on 1966 Dodge Polara. I had a 1966 Plymouth Fury and it didn't have hazard lights either. I believe either 1967 or 1968 were the first year with hazard lights as standard equipment.

You could easily add them if you want, there used to be aftermarket kits to do so and I'd bet you could scare one up on "the bay."

Also, you could use a dash mount 4x switch out of a 67--69 car such as came in my Dart. These are a 4 terminal switch, such that when off, all terminals are isolated, and when on, all terminals are connected together.

The way it works, is you feed the 4x flasher unit from a fused source, run the output to one switch terminal.

Take one terminal and feed it to the cold side of the brake light switch which is going into the column turn signal switch.

Then find the left and right FRONT turn signal wires, and hook the remaining two terminals to them.

So the way this works is, when on, the switch takes the output of the flasher and feeds it to the front left/ right lamps, and to the brake lights going through the (centered) turn signal switch, and to both rear lamps.

I'm planning to revamp the electrical system this winter so this will get added to the list of "things to do"

Thanks very much!:clap::clap::clap:
