Stolen alternator
 

Alternator was stolen and wires cut. How and where do I attach wires to new one

Welcome to the forum, We need more info: year,stock or modified,color of wires Dark Blue,Brown etc.

I'm more curious how that happened. :D

I have a 1976 dodge d 500 and not sure if engine is 318 or 360....anyway I need a new alternator...what part number and where do I get one? thanks

hmmmm, have you tried a parts store? :D alternators will be the same for both V8s.

when I try to order on line...they don't have d500....only d300....I am assuming I need a alternator as there is a loud squealing noise...the belt is good and not loose...

oh, yeah, as long as it's a small block and the year is correct youre fine.

would a bad alternator squeal loud?

yeah if the bearings went they can make all kinds of fun, high-pitched noises. :D
