'70 Satellite Grill - How To Restore?

My grill has a few cracks and needs paint. Have a few questions for you if you've already done this.

What kind of plastic is this, ABS or polystyrene? What's the best crack repair material?

What color paint? Argent Silver? On the bottom edge, it looks likes it was painted with a different color silver than the rest, seems to have metal flake paint. ??

I was thinking of painting the grille a flat (satin) black with silver around the headlights and the bottom leading edge. Anyone try this? Looks like a taping job from Hades.

Most household cements should work, but the surfaces have to be clean. I've had good luck with DEVCON, but some of the "better" CAs (super glues) should work as well.

As for the paint, agree that the satin black might be a better look. I think I did this with Duplicolor, years back.

You could try cutting some scraps of abs up and putting them in a jar of asatone let them dissolve in to a paste - use it like glue to fill in the cracks
