1964 Dodge Dart HELP!!!!
I have a 1964 dodge dart GT a-body. it was factory a slant-6 and now been swapped to a 360 from around '74, with a 727 torque flight behind it. i am looking for a 4-speed to match up to it but i do not know what will go on the a-body without modification and hook up to a 360 also. please help me i know its been done, i just need the know how.

Its been done. You need the 4 speed tunnel welded in to make room for the floor shifter unless you want to go with the column shift. The tunnel is made aftermarket and is not hard to get for the b body cars. Just trim to fit and weld in.
You also need the brackets and pedals for manual. There is plenty of 3 speed manuals for parts. It's a big job taking quite a bit of time but yes it is doable. Question do you have the pushbutton automatic or did someone put in a column shift transmision and column? |
Although I assume you mean manual transmission, you can also use the 46RH to give you 4 speeds with an automatic.

The 46RH is not gonna fit an A body without chopping up the floor and crossmemeber
