1969 Plymouth Fury III

Hey guys, I was treating my car to some highway time and I started to lose power. I lost all forward drive. My engine is an original 318. There's oil on top of my motor, I was on a schedule so I didn't have time to inspect it.
The motor runs, but it wobbles something fierce and there's no power to the tranny. Almost like a thrown rod, but I didn't see a hole and it still idles.

Any ideas and speculation would be great.

The only time I've had oil on top of the motor was on a 360 in my 77 pu.. The rings were stuck and the blowbuy created pushed the dipstick out and oiled down the bottom of the hood and the top of the motor. It never foweled the plugs though.

Second person to suggest rings, does is matter that it happened at 70mph? That makes sense because it would be the most direct path for the oil.
