1974 Duster, Radiator help!?!?
so i have a 1974 plymouth duster with a 5.2L its a 318
the radiator is an original but it just took a dump on me
i have 2 questions if anyone can help me
1. I found this radiator on Ebay, it looks pretty good but the main problem is how does the shroud bolt on here?! On my original it has holes that it screws on to, with this radiator it looks like it clips on or something, if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PLYMO...ht_5080wt_1165
and 2. should i just rebuild it?! its in really bad shape take in account the fins and the core need to be rebuilt, its 40 years old, i doubt its ever been repaired.
Thanks for any help
p.s. I have called that ebay company number, they just told me generic answers like it fits the year so the shroud should fit, they dont explain anything in detail at all.

Not sure about the should mounting, but yes, it's possible that you may have some fabricating to do. Usually nothing beyond basic hand tool stuff - but again, I've never tried those guys. You'd hope they followed the radiator and shroud mounting patterns.
What radiator depends on what you've done to the motor. Some of the original 318 rads were 2 row numbers and with any engine work at all, it won't hold up, especially with today Et-OH gas mixtures. Aluminum dissipates heat better and it the way to go. If you plan on working the engine, make the radiator over-kill. It really can't hurt as you can restrict the water flow with the thermostat if it take too long to heat up.
