73 dodge dart swinger

I am looking into purchasing a 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger to fix up... only thing is that it doesn't have a motor... I was wondering if someone here could tell me what kind of motor it had originally... I know its a V6... and just how much work it is to get a V8 in there... Please dont laugh at me, lol

you have 225 slant six its an inline not a v as far as the motor swap goes what kind of motor are you lookin at la,b, or rb it all depends on what motor you choose as to what you have to change the best and easiest swap for a a body is an la (318,340, or 360) the b engines (383 and 400) are harder because there big blocks and you have to cut the fender wells and and the parts are more expensive the same goes for the rb engines (440 and 426 hemi) the less expensive to swap and modify (and there easier to come by) are the 318 and 360 engines but for performance the best smallblock is the 340 hands down take all this into consideration when you swap your motor

Listen to runner. That is information that alot of people have paid dearly for through the years. You said you knew it was a six cylinder. How did you find out that information?
