you can buy a whole new front suspension kit for them but they are very pricey. they duster was a torsion bar setup right? i think you can get kits to upgrade them to a coil spring or an air bag setup. if you dont want to go with the high end options you could always go with a set of firm poly bushings for the whole front end and a set of adjustable air shocks.

Well not entirely, I know you can get that duster to handle fairly decent.
I'd start with a good suspension rebuild maybe using poly bushings in the upper control arms and strut rods. Use the rubber bushings in the lower control arm {i think they are better suited than the poly in the lower arms}. Than I'd get some stiffer torsion bars. Dont go overboard on the stiffness though, just a step better so you still have some ride quality.
Most important are a good set of sway bars, front and back. Now add a good setr of gas charged shocks {maybe adjustable ones}. Try to get the weight bias of the vehicle as even as possible front to back. I you want to make the steering quicker, you can get the fast steer pitman arm/steering arm combo. Now find some 16 [17?] wheels that fit well with a good low profile tire {45 series?}. Make sure there is no slop anywhere and get a performance oriented alignment. This would be a good start and you dont have to do it all at once. {google "green brick one lap of america"}
