Bringing a 71 Duster back to life
Hello all,
I have not worked on a Mopar since 1989 so don't be to hard on me. Helping a friend out with his 1971 Duster that has a 340. Car has sat in a garage for almost 20 years with only a once every couple year roll out and back in. Never on the road. For this to pass inspection needs door mirrors installed. Somewhere along it's life the mirror holes welded closed. I can see from inside door but looking to get measurements of holes to re drill. My friend supplied chrome sport mirrors with drivers side having the remote control. The wiper arms he had fit but seems like they should be angled at the blade end. Maybe he has the wrong ones? Turn signal switch lever just flops around and hazard do not work either. I assume switch is broken. Vacuum operated heater control has no hoses to it or going anywhere. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...401080addc.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...80cb77f0ba.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...36e9cca2b4.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...004d3c8d25.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...d5fd7a95df.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...1d24e2aaed.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/moparfo...d65e7c86ae.jpg |
I see no body trim tag on this car either. Looks like is was originally yellow then lime green now black.
