Fender tag ID plate: how to decode?
I would like to know how to read the fender tag (on drivers side, inner fender)
The embossed tag has 4 lines of letters and numbers. I assume if I could read it, I would find out the specs on the car? Such as paint, rear end, etc?
If you know where I might find out how to de-code, please post here!
thanks!
Mark

that site usually works but since your car was made at the Lynch Road plant it won't work. Maybe you could email the site owner for help

Beware! ...sometimes the info you get is not what you want to hear...
"Light duty" trans, "Low price class", "two barrell carb" blah blah, blah!
I still love my Dart! Now has some improvements incl 8 3/4 rear, Hi rise intake, 4 BBL carb. Will be a fun cruiser for me! Hoping to add Hooker headers soon, and a complete paint resto.

I completely ignore the price class of the VIN unless I am looking for a collector car. Since I can't afford any of the collector cars, I do a LOT of ignoring What matters the most is that YOU like your car. What price class it is is meaningless, unless you are trying to one up your neighbor anyway...
or are looking for a collector car...like a HEMIcuda...
THEN you want a BS car
