Been chasing my old boss for this Barracuda for close to 8 years, he finally broke free of it, came with a ton of parts, I should make my money back when it is finished, doubles and triples of most of the parts

samuelcosmo76 07-27-2010 08:58 AM

nice what are your plans for it?

62Furious 07-28-2010 04:43 AM

rebuild, have been wanting a drop top for a long time just haven't found one in my price range, or in this good of condition, and I do like to build and put my signature on my rides so people don't walk up to me and say wasn't that so and so's car

mr340 07-28-2010 06:13 PM

Trunk rot is pretty much normal, but the floors look relatively solid. Gonna be a nice cruiser when she is done.

tore the rear end apart last weekend and gave the housing to a friend to blast, came back yesterday now to paint it and put in the traction lock. Yes Joe, I wish there was some thing like this 30 years ago when I was building my 62

THE BIG MISTAKE

1 Attachment(s)
:doh:The other night the wife had to work late, so I took it upon my self to bring the center section into the basement where it is a little warmer. I procieded to disasemble the center section. when the wife got home the battle started :pistol:the smell from the grease on the bolts was ransid and strong, needless to say she was pissed! At two in the morning I get an elbow in the ribbs and she sead "If I can't sleep nether can you". It took a good day for the smell to disapate. Lesson learned my garage her house.

D Dodge 01-03-2012 09:38 AM

Oh well, back to the old, cold garage. Good luck with your project. Looks like you're making good progress on it.

 Well floor pans and frame conectors are in and undercoated, next new trick is to learn how to do the body work, did a little 15 plus years ago. Here are some pics of the bottom of the floor.

bremereric 01-10-2012 10:07 AM

:doh:well I have the traction lock together, it turnd out to be an alday event when I launched the springs across the bacement. Putting it together was very easy, just took an hour totake the housing apart and put the center in. The rest of the day was combing the bacement floor with a magnet to find the springs, cant wait to see how it works. spring is around the corner.
