power steering

power steering

hey quick question. i wanna swap out my power steering for manual. wierd i know but personal preference. is it a straight swap from power to manual or are the linkages different. hopefully not.thanks

Nope, easy swap. I did it on the Dart. Change box, pitman arm, and idler arm. The steering column is different length (manual column is longer) there is a coupler you can buy from Firm feel to make it fit.

Done.

The steering column is different length (manual column is longer)
The previous owner of my dart said that they had converted the car to power steering. Could that explain why the steering wheel feels too high.

Could you switch from manual to power steering without changing the column?
