my gas guage on my ralley dash in my demon isnt working i was wondering what it could be and have no idea, what can i do?

 

I'm sure someone could chime in better then me but...

Fuel sending unit is out... Or the wire broke off on the back of the gauge cluster

 

i know its not the sending unit and i took the dash off compleatly and it doesnt look like anything is wrong but there could be something thats not connected because it hasnt worked since i bought it

i tried testing it and it didnt work but neither did any of the other gauges that worked before i pulled out the dash cluster im kinda confused now

 

k i found out that the gauge it self works but there could be a break in the wire. could i check by connecting a wire from the back of the gauge where the gas gauge wire is suppose to be right to the tank and it should work? and if not its the sending unit?
