rear tail lights problem

rear tail lights problem

hey guys
i have a 68 barracuda fastback and recently found out that my drivers side brake light was not working properly as was pointed outto me by a nypd police officer who pulled me over....of course it was on my test run around the block....figure he was a mopar fan..he let me go...signals work on both side and brake light works on passenger side..havent gotten back to car yet...was wondering if anyone could lead me in the right direction...the did work last year..and yes tried new bulb...(ground issue ?)

under the left kick panel runs the wires and connecters for the tail lights maybe it came loose? I have had it happen to me so maybe check that? could be a ground issue too. or dirty connection. bad bulb?

From the schematic I see, it appears as the rear lamps are grounded through the shells, or body, of the light. Not through a ground wire. Are yours a 1-wire set-up? If so, then clean a bare spot on the shell and try a jumper wire to a clean piece of body. That should tell you if the shell needs to be cleaned-up

check your grounds my darts tailights were not working right it was the grounds that were coroded
