Unidentifiable Duster

I recently purchased a apparent 73 Duster, However the taillights look like a 70 and the side markers resmble that of a roadrunner but they are not quite as deep. The VIN appears to be correct to a 73 340 Duster but the lights and trunk lid (no spine) do not. Any help on figuring out what the hell i've got here?

i agree with 1966 maybe somebody didnt like the style and just interchanged the parts over. all the parts will fit on each of duster like mopardrt said.

That looks like you have '70-'71 taillights, marker lights, trunk lid, hood bumpers and fenders. I suggest you look on the core support or trunk rail for the REAL V.I.N., it appears that someone swapped #'s on that thing.

The '72 tails were longer, almost to the center of the body.

You must be the Duster guy. I also have a '72 so I can compare the differences between 70-71 and 72-73. Where are the real vin #'s. I'm a dart guy.....with 2 dusters, go figure.

I want to make sure the taillights are correct, because that's all anybody's going to see. This thing screams.

I;ll try and get pics of the VIN locations from my car tomorrow night. mopardrt has them pretty much pegged there. The car you have is a '70 or '71 body.
