Bucket Seat Issue
Hello! So I have a 1970 roadrunner that I want to put bucket seats into. I came across some bucket seats out of a 73 challenger that I thought would swap over into the roadrunner with the correct seat tracks. Would this even be possible or would I have to get b body bucket seats in order for them to fit inside the roadrunner? Also, where could I find seat foams and seat covers for bucket seats?

The problem is they each have different floor pans... You will have to make seat brackets to make them fit.
As for the cover and padding. Classic Industries or your local Upholstery shop. |
So to get this correct, e body seat with brackets fit only e body cars from 70-74? And the same goes for b body cars? B body bucket seat brackets will not fit e body bucket seats. I would have to get b body bucket seats with brackets to fit my roadrunner in that case.

AS far as I know Yes..... A few guys have made bracket to convert the install, But most of them complain that the seat sits to high. My understanding is you need to be under the height of 5'-8" to be happy with the conversion of this type.
Please note, I'm going off the information acquired a few moons back with my buddy's Roadrunner and he purchased the seat from me that where E-Body seat. The others where guys we had talked to at a few shows. Just my 2 cent... Could be something out there new to retrofit it now days but not that I have seen around. |
