3rd gen 1500 ram
 

Hello everyone I have a thrid gen dodge ram 1500 sxt 3.7L 2008. I was driving her home yesterday when I heard and saw my engine rpm was double what it should be. I was cruising at 45 mph but my rpm was around 3000 but the day after everything was normal even after a quick cool down she ran normal. does anyone have an idea what caused that?
